Vivian Jones is a technical writer who has focused her career on producing quality customer-facing and system administrator documentation and online help. Her early career began in the 1980s at Presbyterian Health Services in Albuquerque where she developed a full software training program, from the ground up, for the hospital’s Information Center. After relocating to the Dallas, Texas, area in 1994, she moved into a technical writer role at Nortel Networks and later at Cisco Systems, where she developed customer documentation and online help for Cisco’s voice-over-IP call processing product. Four of her online help systems earned the Award of Excellence from the Society for Technical Communication (STC), Lone Star Chapter Publication, Art, and Online Competitions (PAO) in 2002. Vivian relocated back to Albuquerque, her home town, in August, 2007,
and is currently developing Cisco certification courseware for a
training firm. On the side, she has been assisting her father in
preparing, editing, and formatting the final edition of his book,
Flowering Plants of New Mexico. She also has recently embarked on a
new project in which she will illustrate a book of children’s poems
written by her son. |
