Larry BonuraLarry Bonura moved to the Santa Fe area from Richardson, TX in March 2008.
While in Texas, he worked as a technical communicator for software & hardware companies, including Convex, Nortel, Alcatel/DSC, Texas Instruments, and DSET. He currently is a senior technical writer at Presagis, where he telecommutes to his Richardson location.

He has several published books: "The Desktop Publisher's Dictionary" (Wordware, 1989), "The Art of Indexing" (John Wiley, 1994), and a poetry anthology, "Engulfed from Within: A Lifetime of Poems" (iUniverse, 2002). He is currently finishing up his first ebook, "Genesis of the Bicycle in the United States, 1865-1893." Larry has written more than 250 articles in newspapers and magazines around the world.

Larry is a senior member of the STC, which he joined in 1987. He has presented at annual conferences as well as chapter & regional conferences, and also has received chapter awards for his documentation.

Larry's hobby is history. He is the author of many historical works, presentations, and GIS historical projects, and is a member of numerous historical societies and associations.

He holds a BS in journalism from the University of Kansas (emphasis in magazines; minor in French) and an MA in American history (specializing in post-Civil War to modern history; minor in library science). He is certified in Geographic Information Science & desktop publishing.
